..isnt that the idea of pioneering users and reviews?
Perhaps the cost-of-entry of the new AmigaONE system will be a major
point.
Perhaps Eyetech should make sure theres a 'superlow' entry system.... eg
powered by lowest G3 (333MHz??) ...okay, it wont be 'imnpressive' compared
to super-doodaa G4/G5s's but it'll still be faster than a 233MHz 604 (the
current fast Amiga PPC system)....once people have the hardware it'll then
just be a simple upgrade when they do have spare money (and the system has
proven itself) to a faster CPU (thanks to the CPU-on-card system they are
using.
there should be many vendors of such cards...perhaps one of them may even
work out a way to have dual-PPC on card solution (maybe AmigaOS will
eventuayll support SMP - OS 5.0??) if not, then people can run such things
as QNX/Linux on AmigaOne - as they'll be able to with BPlan)
